The first time I saw Sin City was in 2005 and I had yet to turn 18. It was considered “scandalous” by our theology teacher (Texas, Catholic school, yes I’m one of those) to even think about seeing the film, but as teenagers will do, we defied his teachings (mind you, The Matrix was also on the non-Pope approved list of weekend films) and headed to our coveted Cinemark in Dallas suburbia.
Visually, I remembered being blown away and in awe of the storytelling techniques used by Rodriguez and his team. It was like seeing the graphic novel literally come to life on the screen. So when I saw the trailer release announcement to the followup film, it was the first piece of media content I consumed over breakfast this morning. Without further ado, here’s the new trailer for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For!
