Election night came and went and as Obama’s winning votes settled in and the temperature steadily dropped, a nor’easter (new word by the way) swooped in the next day and evening to dump snow on Manhattan. While the thick snowflakes were pretty, it was another devastating blow to the post-Sandy recovery.
But how I love a first snowfall and even though he alludes to January, Wallace Steven’s poem “The Snow Man” always comes to mind…perhaps try reading it with Samuel L. Jackson’s voice narrating it in your head. Awesome? Thought so.
