The Metro in Washington, DC
Have I mentioned before my love of photographing public transit?
Ingrid took me on a night time walk of the mall. I was so glad to see my favorite monument of all.
Ingrid took me to this amazing little cupcake and coffee shop called Baked and Wired located in Georgetown. One part baked goods and one part caffeine bar, this tucked away treat added a lovely distraction to our already lazy afternoon. I chose the "Chocolate Cupcake of Doom," which came complete with a densely rich and satisfying dark chocolate satin frosting. We found a spot on some worn leather furniture and observed others like ourselves milling about on that warm day. In the end, I added my own "verse" to the verse wall and we left just in time as the poetry reading was about to begin against the backdrop of the American flag.
Outside the Washington Monument during my recent adventure to Washington, DC. We were avoiding the grey skies, thick winds, and drizzle and had ourselves a grand 'ol time walking the streets of our nation's capitol.
